Colorful parrots

At camp this summer, campers (ages 4-12) spent the entire 8 weeks preparing for an amazing performance of the Matilda musical in the last week. My job as the art teacher was to connect all of our art to Matilda.

Bunk 1 (ages 4 and 5) created colorful parrots to represent the parrot that Matilda hid in her parents fireplace in the book. They painted, cut and glue them together and we hung them in the room, and later the gallery. They turned out spectacular!
